In this task I had to create soundtracks for my Hunted project. With the aid of my editor Paula we both assembled the best music for the job. I used various tools such as the cut/trim tool to use certain sounds from different sound tracks to create the best horror track. To create the best track we used GarageBand and the sounds given from that programme.

Production Design+Extra
I have been assigned the role of Producer and sound creator. My responsibilities are to create the horror soundtrack and to look after all props and materials in the short film. I also have to take part in the film for example I am the clown who the main character fears. My solo job was to go out and take pictures of locations where we could film are project then upload them onto my computer.
Hunted Ideas
In this task we had to come up with ideas for are short film called Hunted. This picture represents the spider-diagram we created to give us ideas on what we could film and what contents come from a horror film. Most of the ideas came from the horror genre as Hunted is based around physiological events. This was a team effort as me, Paula, Josh and Tom all worked together to create the best/final ideas.

Day 1
Today was the first day of filming and we had to take pictures to capture us working. We were able to get one clip as it took a lot of effort by Steve to get us the room for us to film in (D3). These pictures are key points from are film/filming. The reason we had to take pictures for are film is because it shows we have worked hard from day one and we can use these pictures at the end of the film for bloopers Esc.
The students in the pictures are Paula,Josh V,and Tom.

Nine Key Frames
In this task we had to create nine key frames for are project haunted. In the nine key frames we have two locations, the forest and the office. All nine key frames are crucial to are project because they are key points in the film which tell the viewers what's going on. As you can see in the frames that are character is in need of help as he is being chased by an evil clown.
Locations for Hunted Project
In this task I had to take pictures of each location where we are going to shot are project. Each picture represents different key locations where are character ends up at. We have chosen to film in a forest because it is a typical horror location where creepy thing are found for example clowns. The office picture represents where the character is first seen that is why the bed is one of my pictures.

Haunted Board Louis
In this task we had to create a mood board for are project Haunted. A mood board is a canvas full of pictures which are related to the project. I have sized the images by importance for example the fear image is the biggest image on the canvas because it will be the biggest contributer. The smallest image on the canvas is the little girl as she only stars in the film for a short time. All the images are relevant to my film for example the clown as he is the main characters nightmare. The mood board is a good thing to use because it gives the story in pictures and it is easy to read.

Master Sequence Final Cut
In this task we had to put all are sequences together to create are final video which will be uploaded to Vimeo. Once all my sequences were put together I took the pictures which we took earlier of Long Road and imported them into my master sequence. Once this was done I also imported some files called effects which gave my the ability to create explosions and flames. I decided that I would use these files to create different explosions around Long Road as this look liked it was caused from the bomb. At the end of my video I added credits with my name and the names of my associates. The tools I used in this sequence were trim and rubber band.
Final Cut Action Sequence
Meeting Final Cut
In this task we had to use Final Cut to create the effect of two people (character A Louis Bomber) and ( character B Tom Boss) meeting and passing over the bomb. In this sequence we used the 180 degree rule to create the over the shoulder effect and to tell the audience where each character is positioned and there spacial area within the 180 degrees. The tools I used within this clip were the trim tool and the rubber band tool. The trim tool was used a lot because I had to create a fast clip which made both characters look like they were simultaneously speaking. I used the help of the rubber bands tell me which bits to trim.
Phone Call Final Cut

In this task we had to create an effect which would make the audience believe that we were having a conversation at the same time. To create this effect we used many tools from cutting to fades. The overall idea with this sequence was to create a realistic phone conversation using two different timed shots and placing them in positions were they create the best talking effect. In this sequence I had to trim at least every clip to knock of those worthless seconds to create a fast but sensible clip. The actors performing are Louis Davis (Bomber) and Tom Adams (Boss)

Final Cut Monster
In this task we had to create a Final Cut project with are photos we took earlier. I had to import these photos from the camera we took them from to be able to edit the pictures in Final Cut. We edited the pictures in Photoshop.
My Groups Storyboard
This picture represents the first half of my groups storyboard. As you can see the first shot we took was the long shot. This first scene is described under the scene and tells the story of what we are going to do in this shot.
This picture represents the second half of my groups storyboard. As you can see the last shot we took was the low angle shot. This last scene is described under the scene and tells the story of what we are going to do in this shot.

Target Audience Louis
In this task we had to create a A4 sheet with our favorite categories and favorite items in those categories.
A target audience is used to create a specific type of product for
example a U would be for children and children can not be shown violence
or any adults themes. Another use of target audience would be age
limiting. Age limiting divides youth, children and adults into specific
categories such as teenagers, young adults and 18+. What age dividing
does is that media and business designers can use this to create
specific items for that age group which is more suitable for example
Inbetweeners, this is more suitable for teenagers because it has 16+
content.

My LED logo video
2P1 Louis - IDENT from Long Road Applied Media Diploma on Vimeo.
This is my logo video for which I am going to use for all my video/editing work. My video last for 6 seconds and consist of two different sounds. I like my video's lenght because it isn't to short and isn't to long, this makes it good because it is a reasonable lenght for a logo clip. If I had to improve my logo clip I would add more effects to make it a more memorable. I would do this because the key thing to do for a good logo clip is to make it stuck in peoples minds, that way people are more likely to use your products.
Are you Normal? Results
Preliminary Results
You are an autonomous striver, with hidden strength.
Your responses indicate a desire to overcome a persistent feeling of emptiness or dissatisfaction. You believe life should have more to offer, and fear you have somehow not achieved everything you deserve.Your desire for legitimate respect and success has led to increasing anxiety. Consequently, you no longer exhibit some of the friendliness and openness for which you were once known.
Similarly, you fear being overly influenced by others. You are often fiercely independent, which sometimes leads to being resistant to the opinions of friends and relatives — even to the point of denying what you fear may actually be true.
This behavior stems from your wish to be regarded as an authority. It leads you to react strongly when you suspect you might be wrong. At times you feel that too much is being asked of you, and that you are not properly recognized for your efforts. This situation — be it fueled by others’ jealousy or negligence — adds to the stress in your life.
Luckily, your determination is unyielding. Unlike others facing similar adversity, you forge ahead despite the challenges. Through strength of will or simple endurance, you are unique in your ability to withstand the troubles of a complicated life.
I was introduced to a quiz called are you normal. In this quiz I had to answer many weird questions such as Mother and answer with a picture. Surprisingly the results I recieved were correct and I felt that this described me very accurately. I felt that this quiz was less helpful then the Tribe quiz because it did not give any help or information about the answers. If I had to chosse between the Normal quiz and the Tribe quiz I would chosse Tribe because it gives multiple answers while the other doesn't.
Tribe Video
In this task we had to take another quiz which end result placed us into a tribe. I thought this quiz was good in some ways because it gave us multiple choices and info which I felt was good because the other quiz only gave choices. On the other hand I felt that this quiz was bad because my end result was incorrect as it told me I was Gangster. In the end I was able to change my end result to something more suitable. My end result was Street Urban. I was happy with my end result because it had some expects which were true for example the way I dress.

Creation of New York Video
In this task we were given instructions on how to use Final Cut and a pack of clips and audio files to use to create our very own Final cut project. In this pack we were given 15+ clips to edit and play around with. We were asked to edit the clips in three different ways. The first way we learnt was to click and drag each end of the clip to resize the start and finish time. The second way was to just drag the file out of the folder and place on timeline. The third and final method was the In and Out method. To use the In and Out method you first had to drag the playhead to the beginning of your project and then press I for In. Once this is done drag the playhead to the end of your project and press O for Out. This method can be used to create quicktime movies.During this short project we were ask to import are Garagebang song to create a more realistic trailer.
My overall opinion of this project was good because I felt that my music and my video both worked together to create my first Final Cut project.
Creation of LED Logo
In this task we had to create a logo clip to be used for every video we completed. As you can see in the picture I have taken apart my logo and placed them in specific places to create the best effect. At the start of the clip I have used music to build up the tension and then at the end I have used a dramatic sound effect to tell the audience that my clip has finished. I imported each file from Photoshop and imported my music from Garageband. I have used fades at the end of my clip to give a slow but sudden ending.

My logo L.E.D
My logo consists of a red background and black text writing. I have chosen these colors because it can easily be seen in a crowd and both colors work against each other. The reason I have chosen a Square borderline is because during my task with the shapes I came across a Square looking borderline which I thought could be good for making a logo. With a Square/Rectangle shape in the back of my mind I had the idea of creating a TV as it is one of the best media providers in the world. This would be a good logo because it tells the customer straight away that this advert/company has something to do with media.
I have selected the use of this font for many reasons. The first reason is because it helps create a house style. It does this by looking similar to the dots which seperate each character. This is important because it makes this the first thing each customer would look at (eye catcher in media terms). The final reason for selecting this font is that when animating my logo I can uses whatever's in my logo to my advantage, for example the dots seperated each intitial. The tools I used to make my logo are the following, Paint, Rubber, Crop, Inverse, Overlay and Text.
The favorite things about my logo are that it has a realistic look and all the colors work together.
My brush ideas for logo
In this task we had to pick 5 different brushes to give us ideas on what brush we would like to use for are logo. The first thing we had to do was find a website which allowed us to download different types of brushes. Each brush downloaded would be stored where brushes are usually stored and can be easily accessed. I have chosen a red background because I feel that it best suits my brushes as they are white. My favorite brush out of these 5 would be the star as it stands out, works with the color and you can tellwhat the shape is.
Shape ideas for logo
In this task we had to pick 5 different shapes to give us ideas on what shape we would like to use for are logo. During the process of picking my shapes I came across a shape which I thought could be a border line for my logo. This shape is similar to a rectangle shape, which is perfect for a start up logo. I have experimented with color and have found a suitable color for my logo. This suitable color will be Red.

Font ideas for logo
In this task we had to pick 5 different fonts to give us ideas on what font we would like to use for are logo. During the lesson we were introduced to a website called Da font. Da font is a website where you can choose from hundreds of fonts and pick the best one which suits you. Once I found 5 fonts I liked I went back to Photoshop and picked 5 colors which suited each font. While each color was selected I had to re size each font to fit nicely onto the A4 blank page.

My Club Flyer
For my club flyer I picked two images. My first image was a Lego cannon. The Lego cannon was used to create the effect of music being blasted out of a war instrument. The problem with this idea was that I need an image of some speakers blasting out music. While looking around on Google Images I found a picture of some speakers blasting out some lyrics. This was exactly what I was looking for as it creates the effect of a cannon firing the words dub step through some speakers.Once the pictures where found I then got to work on editing the cannon to match the background. I was able to use Overlay on the cannon to create the effect that the cannon actually belongs there. The font used for portex and 9pm were the closest I could find to the font used for dub step. I wanted the font to be the same because it would make the poster look more professional. If I had more time I would add more information on where the club is and who the host is.
Earth and Eye Exercise
The first task we had to do was called Earth and Eye exercise. During this task we had to open two files, one called Earth and the other called Eye. Once the files were open we had to copy one image to the other on a program called Photoshop, after this we were introduced to new tools for example Rectangle Marquee tool. The Rectangle Marquee tool was used to highlight the area we wanted so we could crop it out and paste it on the image we wanted. Another tool we used was called the Magic Wand. The Magic Wand was used to delete any areas of color we didn't uses, this was helpful because it saved at least 5 minutes of working time. Finally once both pictures were in there correct places we were asked to use a new technique called Blending. Blending is a special tool where one image can be made see through to create the effect of one image. We used this tool to create the affect of the Earth and Eye.
